Annie Books Series: ADD Through the Eyes of a Child
Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD is a condition I know all too well. My 15 yr old son (nicknamed The Comedian) was diagnosed with it several years ago. At the time, he was painfully shy. Perhaps his shyness attributed to becoming the target for every bully in the school, playground, cafeteria and bus. Being a mom to a child that suffers in silence is very painful. Not being able to understand his condition is frustrating. Thanks to Michelle Fattig's Annie Books Series, you don't have to wonder anymore. The author created an excellent resource for children and parents that helps expose the life of a child diagnosed with ADD.
Michelle Fattig is a school pyschologist, medical technologist, author and mother. (Can you say amazing???) She has been diagnosed with Asperger's and ADHD (Attention Deficit with HyperActivity Disorder). She (along with her son Josh Fattig also diagnosed with Asperberger's and ADD) has created a series of children's book that look into the world of a child with ADD. All I can say is..."It's about time." This glimpse into a world that is largely misunderstood can be a great tool for educators, mental health professionals and medical professionals to explain and relate to an ADD/ADHD child's daily adversities. What makes this book even more appealing is that it was written, edited and illustrated by individuals that have been diagnosed with the condition. Furthermore, they were able to overcome the disability and turned it into a strength. Any child that struggles with ADD/ADHD can empathize with the characters of the book. It gives them a superhero to identify with. It may also provide a healthy boost in their self esteem. It's great for a child to know that others are experiencing the same emotions, struggles and triumphs.
When you visit the Annie Books site, you will be able to read a few pages of some of the books. Unfortunately, the illustrations are not visible. The site is easy to navigate. Google Checkout is used to process payments. I would love to get my hands on a copy of each book, to really give you a better review. In my opinion, these books have the potential to be owned by every school in the nation. These books have a unique approach to creating empathy for a child that has ADD. With the rise of autism (1 out of 150 children are diagnosed with autism) and the increase in ADD/ADHD cases, it can really be a great resource for the child as well as the adult. Like I mentioned before, my 15 yr old was diagnosed with ADD. As many of you know, my 5 yr old was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. My niece (11) and nephew (9) have ADHD. I would love to see their reaction to these books.
I would like to thank ReviewMe and Michelle Fattig for the opportunity to review this site and the product!

Particpate in Synovate's Market Research!
In my early days of research on ways to make money online, I found paid surveys. One of the companies that conducts market research is Synovate. Although, many people think this method of making money is a scam-I can tell you it's not. I understand the reason why people think that. Someone created a site that requires membership to access web addresses to sites that can be found on the net-for FREE!
What is the purpose of market research?
Synovate conducts surveys for big companies that need information on products and services. That's how they decided what packaging to use, which age range to market too and where to advertise? The surveys are easy and require very little computer skills. It's a great way to contribute to a product's formation and make some money.
Visit Synovate and learn more about the services they offer and how you can benefit from it...

The Entrepreneurial Spirit at Work: Need a Cable?
Here's a perfect example of entreprenurial ingenuity. There is a business online that sells cables. That's a smart idea. Think about it. It's not like you can open a brick and mortar store that sells cables. As a matter of fact, I can only recall a few stores that actually sell cables: Radio Shack, WalMart, Circuit City and Best Buy. Yes, but do they sell every kind of cable available? I think not.
See, that's the entrepreneurial spirit at work, "where there's a need..supply it". This site sells: USB replacement cables, network cables, projector cables and more! Everything you would need for all your electronics in one place! That's smart. Another thing I like about this site is is a clean, organized site. The products are sorted by categories and it even has a site search. Another fine example of how your idea can make yo big bucks in America! Now all they need is to make it to the first page of Google's Search Engine and they will see the benjamins rolling in!

Saving Money on School Supplies
This year, stores started earlier than ever! The last week of school, I went to JCPenney to buy something for The Chatterbox. (She was going to a Super Sweet 16!) While at the register, I noticed they were putting out FALL CLOTHING! Um, summer hasn't even started yet?! As I put my purchases on the counter, The Little One hands me a book bag! I thought this was just JCPenney doing this. I went to Rite Aid to pick up some meds, notebooks, pens and looseleaf were on display!
When it comes to back to school shopping and saving money, I've become an expert. You have to find ways to make things last anyway you can. I usually save gift certificates, use coupon codes and even use freebies I get online. Here's a great solution for the recurring, "I don't have a pen." problem. Purchase cheap pens from PensRus.com. Their Bic pens can be customized with your child's name. At .24 at pen, it is an inexpensive solution. If you really want to get more bang for your buck, put your company's URL, name and/or phone number on it. It can be bring you more business. Think about it, losing a .24 cents pen can mean more businesee for you.
Hey, You have to think outside of the box when you have 7 kids. There's no other way i would have survived otherwise...
