Here's something I just found. There are car insurance companies that offer short term car insurance. This is great in several instances. For example, it covers users to drive a new car away from the home, a family member or friend to borrow someone else's car, when travelling on holiday with a number of people who want to share the driving or when renting a vehicle.
This sounds like a great idea, especially when you have family visiting all summer. Luckily, I live far from the city and so I don't get a lot of family visiting. When I lived in the Bronx with my parents...it was unreal. Both of my parents' families visited all summer. We were like a hotel, did I mention we lived in a two bedroom apartment? Well, it's common in our culture to visit family like that. It's just that my parents had a arge family. My mom has 11 brothers and sisters and my dad had 4 siblings. So it translated into lots of family and tourist attractions. My Dad likes to take visitors all over NYC. Now that he moved to PR, the NY family is visiting. My Dad and my Mom take them all over the island to all the toursit spots. They should have gotten into that field!!!!
I find this insurance is a great idea because I believe it's better to be safe than sorry.
