PDD-Nos Memoirs
This year, I decided I was going to put a Christmas Angel on top of the tree. I was in a store and saw the perfect angel, in a burgundy gown with gold wings and a halo. She was a blond (this is pertinent to the story)...
Well, I purchased this angel and perched her at the top of the tree. Little One loved the angel and started shaking the tree violently. I told him to stop and he did. I stepped away to unpack the groceries and heard a sound. As I turn around I see Little One walking towards me, dragging the tree behind him. "Stop", I yelled and signed and he made a break for it. That's when I saw that he had soemthing safely cuddled under his arm, like a football. He ran with his prize and I pursued him.
What was under his arm? He knocked the tree down to grab the Christmas Tree Angel Topper. She must have looked like Barbie and he had to have her. I looked at him and I said, "You can have her, Mommy will buy another one." Then I stated, "She is an Angel". "Say Angel" I said and he looked at me with his twinkling eyes and with a big smile exclaimed, "Angoo". He slept with his angel that night.
The next morning we engaged in our daily routine preparations. He ran upstairs and got his angel. He got on the bus, looked at his bus driver and said "SSSHHhhh" as he put his finger to his mouth. "What is it?" she asked. From under his arm he pulled out the angel and he presented to her and the bus monitor. I prompted him, "What is her name?" and as he smiled he triumphantly proclaimed "Angoo!"
Yup, that made my day!!!

That's a great story! I am very afraid to put our tree up this year, but we might attempt today. I picture my son Andrew doing the same as your little one did. I guess we won't know until we try.
What a sweet story, thanks for sharing it. It's just what I needed today :)
